We are very proud of our Maxeon Gives program, which sees our solar panels donated to communities around the world and Maxeon employees volunteer their time for charitable causes.

Here you can find the sponsorships we made and the solar panels we donated to communities globally.

Lemery Pilot Elementary School (LPES), Batangas, The Philippines

The SM Foundation together with Maxeon recently powered up the Lemery Pilot Elementary School in Batangas through the Sinag Schools program, which aims to provide clean energy to schools in grassroot communities by installing solar panels on school buildings.

In addition to the solar panel installation, which intends to power positive change in the way energy is consumed in public schools, the team ran sustainability teaching sessions, growing the students’ understanding in terms of energy management and the need to transition to cleaner energy alternatives with lower environmental impacts.

Hawksbill Turtle Conservation Program, Malaysia

turtles on beach

Although our volunteers were only able to visit the conservation centre towards the end of 2021, Maxeon’s Malaysia team continues its partnership with the Melaka Fisheries Department. We sponsored the satellite data subscription to track the Hawksbill Turtle. In addition, in November and December 2021 we contributed MYR 6,600 and a number of Maxeon’s employees volunteered at the site excavating turtle nests and cleaning the site area as well as the beaches.

Hawksbill Turtles are considered critically endangered, and faces a very high risk of total extinction. Our partnership with Melaka Fisheries Department will enable Maxeon to continue supporting the conservation efforts and protect the marine ecosystem.
