Today, with manufacturing sites in Asia and the Americas, and operations in more than 100 countries, Maxeon is a truly global company, whose advanced solar products have empowered more than 1 million customers to make a positive impact on the world.
Maxeon’s Manufacturing Operations
IBC solar cells
Our first solar cell facility was established in the Philippines. The current site, with a footprint of 80,000 SQM, started production in 2016 and manufactures our award-winning IBC cells.
IBC, PERC and TOPCon solar cells
Located at Melaka World Solar Valley, our Malaysia facility has been in operations since July 2011. The 51-acre site now produces our IBC, PERC and TOPCon solar cells.
PERC and TOPCon solar panels
Founded in October 2011, Mexicali manufactures our Performance Line panels, receiving solar cells directly from our Malaysia facility.
IBC solar panels
Founded in August 2016, our Ensenada facility manufactures Maxeon modules, featuring our award-winning IBC solar cells.
Solar cells and panels
Located in Albuquerque, the new 3-gigawatt facility is Maxeon’s first manufacturing site in the United States. Maxeon expects to begin construction in the first quarter of 2024, with factory ramp-up to commence in 2025. Once complete, Maxeon estimates the new facility will create up to 1,800 jobs, and produce millions of solar panels each year for the U.S. market.
